Doin’ Technology by not doin’ technology

Somebody once told me find a job that you truly love and you’ll never work a day in your life…  Well that’s my secret people!  All I have done since college graduation is work in technology. At each and every crazy turn in the road, I find a deep rooted thrill out of continually embracing the tech world’s “next big things.” My methodology involves getting ahead of the technology curve and putting the “latest and greatest” in front of our 2,000 (and growing rapidly!) list of customers.

If you really want to pump me up, challenge me with the opportunity to build “a better mousetrap” for customer or agent…  I DARE YOU!  ;-)

If you visit our website, choruscommunications.com, you will see the depth of technology providers in our roster. It’s an impressive list with 50 of the best and emerging companies.

But our true artistic expression or real value add is in our ability to understand what the customer is trying to accomplish in the way of technology.  We have a truly unique perspective that is honed first-hand on a daily, weekly, monthly experience with all of the key players in the industry.  We can separate the steak from the marketing sizzle, if you will.

In the last 15 years with Chorus we’ve grown our base to over 250 sub-agents, 2,000-plus customers and millions of dollars in billings while working on some of the globe’s most challenging projects.  By assembling “all-star teams” of management, engineers and network designers, we deliver our clients strong, measurable value to their bottom line.

Equally important, I have learned to have fun throughout every step of the way.  With my biz partner, we began a black tie networking event called Hair O’ The Dog way back in 1995 that has since grown into the largest black-tie party in the greater Philadelphia region (www.hairothedog.com) averaging nearly 2,000 attendees each year.

Our turn into the party planning space spawned another concept that merged our new found success in events with our core technology backgrounds. These “Who’s Who in Technology” events are held 2-3 times annually at various locations around the county and showcase our philosophy of working hard and playing harder!  Picture a rooftop deck overlooking South Beach with a great DJ and even better crowd celebrating our combined successes in work and life. A little networking. A lot of fun. Now you have the idea of the “Who’s Who.”

Visit here often as I am going to do my part in making technology fun and exciting. Revel in my latest exploits. Listen to me gloat of recent client victories. Hear me gush about the latest and greatest in technology and telecom — including my love of my iPad and how I am not looking forward to the inevitable long line and delays getting a new iPhone 4! Enjoy my entertaining (at least to me!) tales of bread-breaking sessions in Vegas, SoBe, and Europe…

If I can inject a little fun, frolic, and testosterone in our daily intake, then I will consider my blog a great success!

Thanks for reading and catch you soon…
